New Generation Centre, Lewisham

This £3.5m youth centre in south east London features a climbing wall, training kitchen and cafe, multi-use games area, recording studio, and dance and performance spaces. The centre was designed in consultation with young people from the local area with the intention of providing a safe, modern place for 13 to 19-year-olds in Bellingham, Sydenham and Forest Hill.

Hunters acted as Employer’s Agent and Cost Consultant throughout the build process for our client the London Borough of Lewisham.

The centre was designed by RCKa Architects and was a finalist for the inaugural New London Awards in 2011 when it was at design stage. It was shortlisted for the 2013 NLA Awards in the Public Buildings category.
