Converting an Office Into a Hospice

Posted by on October 3, 2014

Our architects are amalgamating two local hospices into one by converting a 1980s office building in central Woking. The collaboration for Woking and Sam Beare Hospices will help transform end-of-life care in the area.

The new, 20-bed hospice in Goldsworth Park will improve the quality of the environment for the patients with larger patient bedrooms (all ensuite) and private balconies.

The inpatient areas and bedrooms on 1st and 2nd floor levels retain privacy for residents, have good natural light levels and provide exceptional garden views.

A more sophisticated range of facilities will be available with family pods on upper floors and day services/café opened to the public on the ground floor.

The overall concept enables a more humane and inviting design for residents and their families.
