Green Shed for Charity

Hunters architects are designing a garden outbuilding that promotes biodiversity and passive energy use.

Eddie Chen and Edward Robertson have entered a competition for Hammersmith United Charities, a local charity, to design a small outbuilding for the elderly. A Sedum matt covers the roof to encourage bio diversity and natural insulation with thermo walls. A covered terrace give light and shelter to those who use it and a mixture of glazing and natural wood creates a relationship between the adjacent building and soft landscaping.
