Petrol Station to Strategic Vision
Hunters have designed over 60 new homes on a site adjacent to the stunning Hammersmith Grove Conservation Area. The redevelopment fits in with Hammersmith and Fulham Council’s 20-year vision to revitalise key parts of the borough. Working with United House and Notting Hill Housing Trust, the new flats have a compatible and complementary design to adjacent houses.
The flattering six-storey elevations replace an unsightly petrol station with a mix of other uses which had fallen into disrepair, providing a total of 45 homes for private sale and 18 for shared ownership. Designed by our architectural team, the scheme will also comprise commercial space, basement car parking and secure bicycle storage.
Contractors United House will work closely with UK Power Networks to decommission an existing substation on the site. Work is anticipated to start on site before Christmas and is due for completion in 2015.
