Stepping Forward in Care

After successfully winning the Collaborative Working Award at the NFB, the industry leading StepCare team has launched its ranges for a product-lead care home.

James Wallace, Director at Hunters, is part of the team working to improve the efficiency and quality of care homes for senior persons.

With interest from a number of charitable organisations and local authorities and a project already in progress, the team has created a solution to the care home crisis in the UK.

Designers, contractors, developers, care home providers and other building consultants collaborated for StepCare to create a cost effective care home model.

There are three choices of finish in the range with the option of a 64 or 80-bed care home. The two storey home reflects the Stirling University gold care mark and gives privacy, outdoor space as well as intimate areas for residents.

The research and development provides outstanding design and specification which supports high quality care standards. It provides a layout for excellent staffing ratios, good visual management as well as a choice of living and eating areas surrounding a dynamic central hub.
