Christ Church – It’s All in the Feedback

Gathering feedback from future users throughout the design process is essential, ensuring their insights help shape each stage of development. While this is always a key part of our approach, what we truly value is hearing from the people who experience our buildings every day — whether staff, residents, or visitors.

We’re delighted to receive such positive feedback from so many at Christ Church, our new later-living community near Leatherhead, Surrey, and extend our thanks to Birchgrove for sharing some of these wonderful comments. After all, it’s the people who truly make a place special.

Donna, Staff Member – ‘As a member of staff, I am most proud that we have developed flowing and winding, safe paths with resting areas to assist with building confidence  and encourage the residents to walk and be more active, I have personally witnessed some residents mobility improve, in such a discreet way, with points of interest on the route such as the natural wilderness area, natural eco path area and gazebos.’

Denis, Resident – ‘Everything from kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems is all state of the art.  The consideration of private apartments space and communal areas is ideal providing a sense of freedom on one hand and fellowship on the other.

The utilisation of the former tennis courts for a pleasant garden has been well realised with plenty of interlocking pathways and several pergolas. Even those residents with residential mobility that limits them to the site can partake in exercise.’

Victor, Staff Member – ‘Our building truly shines when the sun is out. The light sandy bricks glow beautifully in the daylight, highlighting the thoughtful design across the entire site. The paths that encircle the building provide a safe and pleasant way for residents to enjoy their daily walks without venturing onto busy roads, complemented by the landscaped gardens that enhance the surroundings. Inside, our communal areas offer superb spaces for residents and guests alike, allowing us to host events and activities in a variety of settings to suit every occasion.’

Google Review(all 5/5)  –

Brilliant staff, brilliant place. Can’t recommend enough.’

‘My mum moved into Christ Church three weeks ago and every day the team there amaze me with their enthusiasm, professionalism, compassion and thoughtfulness. She is settling in so well and is loving the social interaction, on her terms, that it offers her. Stunning place.’
