Hunters Continues To Support Future Talent
At Hunters, we are committed to creating opportunities for young people to gain meaningful experience in a working environment and discover the range of careers available within a multidisciplinary consultancy.
In 2025, we supported five students, through three school, work experience opportunities and two paid summer placements from the University of Reading. We have already beaten that number in 2026, with seven students having already joined us, and another two joining us this summer, to bring our total to nine for the year.

We welcome people through a range of routes, including our ongoing relationship with the University of Reading, school work experience programmes and placements that support our social value commitments in Westminster. We have collaborated with City Lions, a Westminster based organisation that supports 13-16 year olds in their pursuit for work experience in the creative sectors, particularly those with disadvantaged backgrounds. Our placements this year will have worked alongside our Architectural, Marketing and Employer’s Agent teams, gaining practical insight into different roles and areas of the business. We currently have an apprentice developing their skills within our Civils & Structures Team.

A school involved in the programme said: “Thank you so much for hosting the placement. It was an invaluable experience and greatly appreciated.”
One student added: “The team made me feel so welcome and everyone took the time to explain what they do and answer my questions.”
Chair, Kate Henry-Aston said “It has been fantastic to see so many placements across such a wide range of teams, giving students the opportunity to experience all aspects of our multidisciplinary practice and the industry. I’m incredibly proud of how welcoming and supportive our team has been, taking the time to share their knowledge and help these talented students build their skills and confidence through hands-on experience”.
