Hunters Informs New 1.5m Homes Report
Director David Capel was part of a group of leading UK Employer’s Agents who contributed to Lovell Partnerships’ Employer’s Agents Roundtable in October. Following the session, chaired by Toby Fox of 1.5M New Homes, a new report has been published exploring how the Employer’s Agent role can help to unlock the government’s ambition to deliver 1.5M homes – Employer’s Agents & 1.5M New Homes: The Local Government Challenge.
Employer’s Agents rarely make the headlines – but they are critical to the successful delivery of a housing project. This new report brings their voice to the forefront, capturing insights from leading EA’s including:
- Early project engagement with an EA helps alleviate potential Gateway 2 issues
- EAs help define what success looks like – they are analytical, people-focused and fluent in cost, design, regulation, and delivery
- Procurement reform could be the catalyst needed to accelerate project delivery

Hunters has currently secured 15 Gateway 2 approvals – and has a dedicated Employer’s Agent team as well as Building Safety Act / Principal Designer team.
