Planning Win for New Portsmouth Medical Centre

Hunters’ Architects have won planning for a new medical practice in Portsmouth, Hampshire. The project, on behalf of Solent NHS Trust, is part of the relocation of North Harbour Medical Group away from a not-fit-for-purpose space they are currently in, so patients and staff can experience a much more suitable and attractive health centre.

For a number of years our EA team have partnered with the University of Reading, not only to provide a popular employment route for graduates, but also to give undergraduate students access to our hands-on team as part of their studies. Climping Care Home Under Construction

Construction has begun for the Hunters designed HMT specialist dementia care home in Climping, West Sussex. The care home is designed to feel less like a care home and more like a familiar home for residents.
Highwood Group has started construction of the £10 million 64-bed specialist dementia care home, working in partnership with us and developer Brackley Investments. HMT will occupy the completed development under a commercial lease.

LHC Public Sector Framework Win

Hunters has been selected for the public sector procurement body LHC £500m framework which is their first-generation for multi-disciplinary consultancy.
LHC’s OJEU compliant frameworks are free-to-use and can be used by local authorities, social landlords and other public sector bodies to procure works, products and services for the construction, refurbishment and maintenance of social housing and public buildings.

Affordable homes in the heart of Kensington

Rarely affordable housing is created in such a prestigious location, but Kensington and Chelsea has worked with Peabody to create new affordable housing at the back of Kensington Church Street. As part of the wider team, Hunters, acting as EA’s, have delivered fourteen new affordable homes with private terraces and / or balconies the residents will have a new public garden on their doorstep as part of the wider development. The tenants housed are from the councils housing waiting list.

Supporting our Community

This Christmas we have again supported the Lyric theatre in Hammersmith where an expected 35,000 people will see Aladdin, their lively Panto, and the captivating Raymond Briggs’ ‘Father Christmas’. As part of this, the theatre has raised funds to distribute free tickets to local organisations and family community groups, engaging with the local community and providing a platform for them to more easily access the arts.

New GP Centre for the Community

We’ve designed a unique new GP Centre erected within the sports hall of the Froud Community Centre (now called Aston-Mansfield), London Borough of Newham. The three-storey building, part refurbishment and part new-build houses twelve consulting rooms, two treatment rooms, waiting areas, ancillary spaces, offices and staff welfare facilities.
