Our Triple Wins!

We’re thrilled to announce that three of our Hunter design projects won planning approval at the London Borough of Hillingdon planning committee.

Together they encompass two new libraries, a community hub and 104 homes, with 95 being affordable – much needed in the area.

Graham Acus, Hunter’s Longest Serving Director Retires.

Graham, who joined Hunters back in the late seventies has decided to step down and take retirement. He has led our Building Surveying team through thousands of projects with many clients mainly in the housing sector. Highly respected and famously affable, Graham has been an essential part of the Hunters DNA and a leading consultant in the industry.

Hunters launches Engineering Design Services

We are pleased to announce that we have introduced Structural and Civil Engineering design services to the Hunters portfolio.

John Matthews, former Director of CNM Civil & Structural Engineers, will be joining Hunters as Associate Director and will be building his workstream with his established client base primarily within the residential, commercial & healthcare sectors.

Mark Baines, MD at Hunters commented ‘John brings a wealth of commercial, residential and healthcare experience in both the private and public sectors as well as BIM delivery. His exemplar experience in healthcare will help build our Building Consultancy team in this sector.  We look forward to welcoming him to the Hunters team.’

Jon Waro passes his MRICS APC

Well done to Jon Waro in our Building Consultancy team on passing his MRICS APC to become a Chartered Project Management Surveyor, MRICS.

Kate Henry-Aston, Chair commented ‘It is a tremendous achievement and Jonathan has worked hard to achieve this qualification. We are looking forward to having him as a mentor to our Hunters APC club to help others achieve their professional qualification too.’

Situated in the heart of Hatfield, One Town Centre is a key component of the wider Hatfield regeneration programme, which aims to breathe new life into the town and make it a thriving and attractive place for people to live, work and enjoy. Designs for Kingston Hospital ICU

Plans are progressing to build a new intensive care unit (ICU) nestled within the large Kingston Hospital site in Southwest London. Through extensive collaboration with the Trust, the design provides a new day lit new intensive care unit.

The team has looked to create a more domestic feel throughout with an emphasis on providing a direct views of the sky, while a complimentary set of spaces have all been carefully considered to improve the experience of  relatives and staff.

St. Gile’s Later Living Completes

Situated around 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of Winchester in Hampshire, St Giles view is a contemporary 60-bedroom care home for the charity Brendoncare. The new home has an attractive, elevated position creating stunning views of the south downs. Brand-new and purpose-built, our design makes a significant contribution to the provision of high-quality accommodation in the local area.

Hunters designed the home based on Brendoncare’s vision to create somewhere where ‘Friendly, compassionate staff dedicate themselves to improving wellbeing and providing professional care for residents, who can live well knowing their dignity and individuality will always be respected.’

Children’s Home receives planning

Charville Lane Children’s Home in London Borough of Hillingdon has won planning. The Hunters designed scheme of specialist supported accommodation is for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and local children under the age of 18. The development comprises of six ‘houses’ supporting up to 12 children. Each house integrates both staff and user accommodation (bedroom with an en-suite bathroom) enabling both privacy and support.

Communal areas have been designed so recreational activities can be facilitated. The addition of an educational building where young people have access to PC’s for homework can also be supported by a Virtual school. Outside a shared Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) sits amongst a private gardens to each house.
