Chiswick Health Centre

Our Employers Agent (EA) team has played a key role in delivering a health centre and residential development on Fishers Lane, Chiswick, West London.

The exemplary project brings a community-led development, ensuring a contemporary healthcare experience and affordable accommodation for NHS key workers. Public spaces around the centre have been significantly improved and new community spaces created internally and externally for a range of activities.

Designed to accommodate three GP practices, the centre offers a modern clinical environment featuring consulting and examination rooms, district nurse facilities, and flexible community spaces for health and wellbeing activities. Public realm improvements include a community garden, a landscaped private courtyard, and a fifth-floor terrace—enhancing biodiversity and providing vital outdoor space for patients, residents, and staff.

It stands as a model for how public infrastructure can evolve to meet today’s environmental goals while directly supporting the communities it serves.

The centre is expected to serve 60,000 patients. It achieves a 77% reduction in carbon emissions compared to the previous building, through a combination of low-carbon systems and passive design strategies. This integrated development stands as a model for sustainable, inclusive, and health-driven urban regeneration.

The keyworker accommodation provides 1-3 bedroom flats with large balconies for healthcare staff. The healthcare centre helps satisfy the increasing demand for healthcare due to the local population increase and the aging population.
