Chiswick High Street

Hunters Later Living team has designed 50 privately rented care units on the site of a former police station in Chiswick for Birchgrove. The homes will be either one or two bedroom apartments.

The aim is to create a sense of community inside the building and out. Comfortable communal features including a restaurant, a licensed bar, lounge rooms and a serene landscape garden give residents plenty of space to have fun and socialise.

The development, which sits on a prominent corner site and faces the busy Chiswick Flower market, is in the heart of the Chiswick Conservation area. A wide range of cafes, shops and the tube are conveniently accessible to residents in a short distance.

This project is highly sustainable, exceeding 77% improvement on the 2021 Part L regulations including a 100% enhancement on biodiversity. With the addition of numerous new trees, landscaping, green roofs, and winter gardens, it aims to be a greener, more vibrant community.

This project starts to meet some of the demand for retirement accommodation in London whilst establishing a stronger link between older people and their communities.
