Highgate Newtown

The Hunters Executive Architectural team successfully transformed a challenging urban infill site, in North London into a vibrant housing and community project featuring a community centre, a public square, and 41 new affordable homes.

This initiative not only enhanced the local landscape but also fosters a sense of community.

The Highgate Newtown Community Centre is central to a broader connectivity plan, establishing a new pathway that links two previously isolated neighbourhoods.

This thoughtful design enhances accessibility and encourages resident interaction.

The distinctive brickwork features a blend of rich-coloured and white bricks, creating an attractive and inviting atmosphere.

This combination not only boosts the area’s visual appeal but also fosters a welcoming space for both residents and visitors.

A new walking path runs through the development, leading to a public space that makes it easy for people to access all parts of the project, including the homes, community centre, and youth centre.

This design encourages people to be active in the area and improves safety.

Another important benefit of this new path is that it helps bring together the privately-owned homes to the north and the mostly council-owned homes to the south, fostering a sense of community among residents.

Overall, this project not only provides new housing but also strengthens community connections and enhances the neighbourhood.

It is located in London Borough of Camden.
