Stratford
Sugar House Island
Vastint UK is transforming 26 acres of land south of the Olympic Park into a distinctive new urban environment.
Sugar House Island
Bounded by water on two of its three sides, Sugar House Island is the work of a cosmopolitan team of architects, designers and place-makers who took time and care to curate an area they hope everyone. ARC-Ml Architects were the masterplanners and Hunters delivered the extensive packages on R2, R3 and R4 sites as Executive Architects. Thank you to ARC-Ml Architects for use of the images.
The development strikes a balance between working, living and leisure activities to create a place which is characterful, connected into its history and local context, and thoughtfully designed.
26 acres, 254,000ft, 2 offices, bringing 2,500 jobs to the area.
1,200 homes (with 40% 3-bed or more), 3 acres of open space including courtyards and a new riverside park.
Restaurants, cafe’s and shops, a 350-bed hotel and 3 new bridges connecting the development into surrounding communities.
