The London Clinic

Hunters Healthcare Team has designed The London Clinic’s Rapid Diagnostics Centre, located on Harley Street in London, where the King’s Speech consultancy sessions were held.

This impressive project features a six-storey building at 142-146 Harley Street, which has been beautifully refurbished by The Howard de Walden Estate into a series of modern consulting houses.

In collaboration with the client, we transformed the existing shell and core basement into a state-of-the-art healthcare facility.

Our aim was to create an exclusive and inviting experience for patients, combining functionality with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The first floor of 146 Harley Street was the original ‘Kings Speech” Room, from which Lionel Logue provided his Speech and Language Therapy clinics to clients including King George VI.

In the basement, we created special areas for important medical tests like ultrasound, mammography, and MRI scans.

The rooms are decorated with fresh spring colours, inspired by the bright yellows of daffodils and the soft hues of blossoms from the client’s brand.

This design choice not only looks great but also helps make the space feel calm and soothing for patients, ensuring they have a comforting experience during their visits.

To make the patient experience even better, Hunters created a variety of custom furniture. This adds a homely touch and makes the space more versatile for different needs.

Behind the main building, the mews houses showcase the original roof trusses, which we preserved. This brings a unique and eye-catching look to the new staff quarters, blending history with modern design.
