Care Home Planning Win in Epsom for Hunters

Church Street is a new 86-bedroom residential care home with specialist dementia care on a site which was previously a police and ambulance station.

Located within Epsom Town Centre and abutting the Church Street Conservation Area, the sophisticated design echoes the feel of local heritage buildings with high quality ornamental detailing and materials. The development retains the existing mature trees and includes over 30 new trees contributing to the local setting within the landscape proposal. The site is currently 95% hard standing, the new gardens will greatly enhance the ecological value of the site creating hobby activity amenity space for the residents to enjoy.

Epsom is one of the many areas within the M25 where the local area is crying out for more residential and specialist dementia care.  So far this year our Later Living team have received planning for designs of three other care homes in Chiswick, Fulham and St Johns Wood.

James Wallace, Director commented “This has been a challenging site, and working with the wider team our designers have been able to find solutions that respond to the complexities of the site and planning process, whilst not compromising on the layouts and operational needs for household living communities. We are very much looking forward to working with Care Concern to deliver this exceptional development that will offer an exceptional home for residents, create jobs for the local people of Epsom, and bring this vacant site back into a force for good”

The project is expected to go on site very soon with completion in 2026.

Consultants on the project include: Nexus Planning, SLR, Keen Consulting, Bidwells, XCO2, Carterwood, Devcomms, Crossfield Consulting, and Hydrock.

Client: Care Concern Group.
