Hunters Gets Go Ahead for Phase 3 of Homes in Hertfordshire

This next phase of John Barker Place in Hitchin has received planning. The 48 new homes in Phase 3 enables a total of 131 new homes to be delivered on this extensive site.

Phase 1 with 37 sheltered homes, is complete and Phase 2 is in progress and nearing completion providing another 46 apartments of both sheltered accommodation and social housing.

The homes are designed around landscaped gardens and play areas, with special attention given to connecting to the wider town which provides a sense of place for the homes. Both affordable homes and later living accommodation were much needed in this area of Hertfordshire, Hitchin a commuter town just North of London.

Mark Baines, MD added “We are delighted that Phase 3 achieved planning and it will see the next stage of the new John Barker Place scheme, creating more affordable homes in the area. We’ve been working on the design and delivery of the different phases for several years to ensure it is the best possible scheme for the residents. It’s been a really important and successful collaboration with our client, Settle. We look forward to working with them to finish this scheme through the final construction phases.”
