Planning Approval for West Drayton £32m Leisure Centre
Hunters architectural team recently won planning for a powerful, uplifting new leisure centre in West Drayton, Hillingdon, West London and it is expected to go on site early 2021. The sports complex enables family fun and committed workouts with two pools, a gym and a roof top sports pitch. The consent was granted by the planning committee making it one step closer to completion. We will be releasing a fly-through soon, so watch this space!
The plans include:
- eight-lane 25-metre swimming pool
- leisure pool
- sports hall with four marked courts
- climbing wall
- café
- soft play area for younger visitor
- gym, exercise studios
- health suite complete
- outdoor sports pitch on the roof of the building.
The current community centre immediately to the north of the site will receive a £2m improvement fund. The new centre will be located at the junction of Harmondsworth Road and Rowlheys Place. A multi-function space for local groups including a youth club are part of the plans.
