Revitalise, Reimagine, Retrofit: The Magic of Retrofit Credits
We’ve been reducing our carbon footprint every year since 2023, but to reach Net Zero we’ve had to invest in Carbon Credits. We wanted to invest in the community we work in – social housing and have teamed up with HACT to enable our investment to be used in retrofit – namely emission reductions in social housing.
Why Are Retrofit Credits Important to Hunters?
It’s a great way for the residents in the retrofitted homes to save money and reduce their carbon footprint. From energy-efficient lighting to insulation, there are a range of deliverables HACT provide.
By revitalising and making buildings more energy efficient we are extending our carbon footprint impact in a positive way.
The left diagram shows how much Hunters has helped reduce carbon footprint, decarbonising homes and creating social value. This year we will be seeking to offset 15 MTCO2e (metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent).
