FPR Development
Our Civil and Structural Engineering team designed the structure for Winslow Court in Hammersmith, a mixed-use development, comprising 34 apartments, a Co-op retail unit and a basement providing car parking, plant and servicing facilities.

Challenging Site
The project presented several structural challenges on a constrained urban site. A reinforced concrete basement was designed across approximately 60% of the site, with the structural and temporary works strategy developed to suit the varying boundary conditions and minimise construction costs.
Above ground, a four-storey reinforced concrete frame provides a robust and efficient structural solution. A reinforced concrete transfer structure at first-floor level enables the retail column layout to transition efficiently to the residential arrangement above, allowing the structure to be integrated within apartment layouts.
The penthouse is formed using a lightweight structural steel frame supported by the fourth-floor slab. The roof structure was also designed to accommodate a blue roof system for surface-water attenuation, avoiding the need for separate surface-water attenuation tanks within the basement.
The project demonstrates our ability to deliver practical, cost-effective structural solutions for complex residential and mixed-use developments, working closely with the wider design team to optimise buildability, coordination and cost.
