Hackney Wick, London Borough of Hackney
Peabody & Hill Partnerships
One of London’s highest profile regeneration projects, Fish Island is situated next to a canal in East London.
Formerly a brownfield site on the edge of Hackney Wick, the brief was to transform the area into a new mixed-use neighbourhood. As part of a £150m regeneration joint venture, the project involved extensive enabling and decontamination works, canal wall strengthening and the demolition of existing warehouses, paving the way for 580 mixed-tenure homes and new commercial space across three phases.
