Architecture for Dementia

We are on the front cover of Dementia Services Development Centre’s new book with Grassy Meadows in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Inside ‘architecture for dementia : Stirling Gold 2002-2020’ you’ll find a case study on Grassy Meadow as well as the Hunters designed The Lakes, and Goodson Lodge. We will continue to use our expertise to improve the lives of those with dementia.

Fly-through for West Drayton

On the back of winning planning approval last year for the new leisure centre in West Drayton, we thought we would share the flythrough we made (short and long versions!). The uplifting design for the multi-activity centre in the London Borough of Hillingdon, West London is expected to go on site autumn 2021. The sports complex enables family fun and committed workouts with two pools, a gym and a roof top sports pitch.

Our Third Finalist Is….

The Building Consultancy and EA teams Centenary Development, in Morden within the London Borough of Merton for Haig Housing, is through to the finals at this years Inside Housing development awards, in the Best Development (urban-London). Providing homes for the ex-service community, Centenary has 68 new homes of varying sizes surrounding a new green for the residents. This is Hunters third project to reach the finals in this years prestigious awards. We wish everyone who worked on the project the best of luck at the next stage.

EA Teams Brooklands a Finalist

Delighted our EA team is part of the Brooklands Park team which has been shortlisted for best shared ownership development (urban) in this years IHDA Inside Housing Development Awards for A2 Dominion. Hunters now has two projects in the finals, judged on innovation and excellence in development. Good luck to all involved!

Vic Johnson a Finalist

Vic Johnson house has been shortlisted in this years Inside Housing Development Awards. With a record of over 300 entries, our architects joint submission with Gateway Housing is through to the finals! The Awards recognise innovation and excellence and we are through in the ‘Best older people’s housing development (urban)’ category. Investing in the Young Creates a Path to the Future

This year, Hunters has invested more time than ever in supporting students. Working with the University of Reading, a real-life project scenario was devised to enable the students to operationalise theory, get used to working with clients and develop stronger presentation skills. For Football Fans and Lovers of Views

The EA team have completed Vantage with 114 new homes, and Bowery with 99 new homes, two new 100% to rent residential schemes. Situated in Wembley Park, in the London Borough of Brent, the homes are part of an 85 Hectare new rejuvenation around the stadium which includes a new 7-acre park, market, shops and easy access to the tube. Every property within the 14 floors has a private terrace or balcony and specifications include floor to ceiling ‘art deco’ style windows echoing local vernacular. Many homes have views to central London or to Wembley Stadium, public realm spaces and access to landscaped roof gardens.

The team included Legal & General, Pinnacle Group Limited, Quintain Limited, McAleer & Rushe and Wates Group.

Imagining Lower Mill

Our Senior Living team has released new images of Lower Mill, a new retirement community, in Ewell Surrey. Due to complete in Autumn, the design amalgamates listed buildings and contemporary new build, developing the relationship with the inside and outside by making use of its waterside location and grounds.
