James Wallace

James is a Main Board Director at Hunters and leads our senior housing and civic sector work.

Graduating from the school of architecture at Cardiff University, James joined Hunters in 1995. He has established a strong team designing and delivering innovative and class leading buildings for a wide range of later living and care needs. He also works on a variety of public buildings including leisure, library, and civic buildings.

His expertise in design for dementia has created many care homes with the University of Stirling’s Dementia Services Development Centre to achieve the best environments for people living with the disease. He and his team work with a wide range of clients in both the public and private sectors, bringing experience and passion from the outset, with design flare combined with technical pragmatism that ensures buildings are operationally efficient and deliver positive outcomes for the residents who live and work in these buildings.
